Mets All Star David Wright’s Bachelor Pad For Sale
After relocating to the Upper East Side shortly before the season started, Mets third baseman David Wright has finally put his Flatiron District penthouse up for sale, and is hoping for a healthy profit. The 3 BR, 4 1/2 bath condo that Wright purchased in 2006 for $6.1 million is sporting a price tag of $7.85 million. For those not looking to do math, that’s more than a 20% increase.
Wright and his Realtors may be banking on high demand due to superb bachelor pad outfitting. Above you can see the private rooftop deck is made for entertaining with a sound system, gas grill and enclosed hot tub. (The hot tub’s installation was well-publicized, after Wright closed down the entire city block to have it dropped in via crane.) For not-so-sunny days, curl up on the couch at 24 E. 21 St. and watch an array of sports on the five wall-mounted, flat-screen TVs in the media room. We think sitting here would be preferable to sitting where the Mets do–sadly at the bottom of their division.
