Johnny Weir Buys Room With a View in Midtown
When you look out your window and see a view like this one, you can be sure you’ve made it a long, long way from your home town of Quarryville, Pennsylvania. 27-year old figure skater Johnny Weir just purchased an 826 square foot one-bedroom in Midtown South’s swanky Twenty9th Park Madison building.
Weir, shown left tasting one of his many medals, reportedly paid a little under the $1.235 million asking price for the unit. He will stage a very public move-in to 39 E. 29th Street for Season 2 of his reality show, “Be Good Johnny Weir.” Lights, camera, 826 square feet??? Sounds a little crowded.
But don’t fret. If you would like front-row seats to what’s sure to be a rhinestone-studded move, or want to ingratiate yourself by donning your favorite cashmere-and-fishnet ensemble and starting a movement for a rooftop ice rink, The Hoch Group would be happy to help!
There are five more units listed at Twenty9th Park Madison, ranging from $685,000 to $2.35 million.
