Rachel Maddow Moves to the West Village

Two years ago, Rachel Maddow moved into the prime real estate 9:00 time slot on MSNBC. This week she and her partner Susan Mikula purchased another piece of prime real estate: Michael Stipe’s West Village apartment at 130 Jane Street. It’s reported that she paid $1.25 million, a little under the $1.325 million listing price.

Curbed reports that Maddow referred to the apartment she moved into in 2004 as “the size of a van,” but her new spot is closer to the size of a fleet of vans. For Michael Stipe, it’s the end of the world as he knows it- at least in the West Village…
