Rainy Day Rooftop Spot, The Glass Bar at Hotel Indigo

Rooftop bars are high on everyone’s list- you get amazing views of the City, the pleasure of drinking in the open air and the added plus of everyone looking like a movie star when the breeze ruffles dresses and hair alike. But you can’t enjoy any of those things when it’s raining, right? Wrong.

The new Glass Bar at Hotel Indigo in Chelsea at 127 W. 28^th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenue has added one more layer of enjoyment to the rooftop bar- a roof. The Glass Bar is a glass-enclosed rooftop bar that let’s you enjoy the views of a rooftop bar with the comfort of walls. On a sunny day the bar is open-air on all sides, and on a rainy day they let down transparent and waterproof coverings, allowing you to sip your favorite cocktail in the eye of the storm.
